OU Engineering College signs memorandum of understanding with TSSPDCL

Osmania University: The OU Engineering College EEE branch and Telangana State Power Distribution Corporation's Training Institute signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday on providing training and research work to OU UG and PG students.

OU EEE department head Prof G Mallesham and TSSPDCL (HR) director G Parvatham and OU V-C Prof Ramachandram, TSSPDCL corporate office CGM A G Satish Kumar, Registrar Gopal Reddy were present during the exchange of agreements.

Addressing the function, TSSPDCL officials stated that the two organisations would utilise the OU academic excellence to move forward. They said the MoU would pave the way for creation of awareness on TSSPDCL to students in rural areas by providing them free training for enhancing their skills and awarding them certificates.

Prof Mallesham said exposing the students to TSSPDCL would secure total awareness on power-related issues. He said the MoU was the first to be signed by an academic institution and a power utility, while appealing to students to avail themselves of its benefits. Among those present were OU OSD Krishna Rao, Dean P V N Prasad, Principal Kumar, Coordinator Sushila, Admissions GM Saraswati, DEO Srinivas, ADE Raju Naik.
