Oppsition misleading ryots on new farm laws: BJP laxman

Hyderabad: BJP's OBC Morcha National president K Laxman on Friday participated in an awareness programme on the newly adopted farmer laws in Chevella.

Laxman said that Congress and other parties are spreading false news about the newly adopted farmers' bill and are creating confusion among farmers. He said that the Central government is ready for any debate to allay farmers fears about the new laws. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with other Union ministers, was prepared to dispel the doubts of farmers, but Congress and other parties leaders have unnecessarily created confusion among farmers over the new laws, he added.

It was the same laws that Congress intended to enact during their tenure in Parliament. The NDA government led by Modi brought the same laws with the aim of helping farmers in all areas. But Congress, which before the passage of the bill brought no colors and cries to parliament, has now created problems for its political benefits, he claimed.

He later said that the Central government will always strive for the prosperity of farmers and only those who are against the Prime Minister and his policies will use such protest marches. Under PM Kisan Yojana Central government has distributed a total of Rs18,000 crore to 9 crore farmers throughout the country, Laxman said.

BJP Rangareddy district president Bokka Narasimha Reddy, BJP leaders T Veerendar Goud, K Prakash, Devara Panduranga Reddy, Anjan Kumar and other local leaders were also present on the occasion.
