Octopus holds mock drill at Imax

Hyderabad: The Organization to Counter Terrorist Operations (OCTOPUS) has done a mock drill on the premises of Imax Theatre Junction on Friday. A group of commandos wielding advanced weapons conducted searches inside vehicles with the help of traffic police.

The commandos with dog squad first thoroughly checked the vehicles, and later, displayed their action on how they check the suspects in case of a surprise attack by the terrorists. With the surprise mock drill at the Imax Theatre Junction, which is near to the Telangana Secretariat, the passersby were initially shocked with the checking and mock drill, and later got relaxed when the officials told them about the mock drill.

In the mock drill, the officials of Octopus were leaked the information that there would be a terrorist attack in the area. Immediately, the Octopus commandos entered the scene and conducted their activities, as if the terrorist attack really happened.

They covered the entire area, took positions and started countering the attack. Simultaneously, they started the vehicle checking and identification of the suspects in the dispersed mob. Public really enjoyed the drill once they came to know it was a mock drill.

They urged the Octopus and the police to conduct such searches and checking frequently for the safety and security of the common public. The mock drill was conducted to create awareness among the public and to test the preparedness of the Octopus commandos.
