No stir effect on TSRTC Hospital
Tarnaka: The superintendent of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation Hospital, R Venkatramana said that the services were not disrupted and that patients from districts too were availing medical services. There were reports in certain sections of the media that medical services to the staff and kin of striking TSRTC employees were stopped.
Speaking to The Hans India, Venkatramana said, "We have not received any official order to stop medical services of any RTC employee. We are treating patients. In case of major illness, we refer patients to other hospitals."
On condition of anonymity, one of the hospital staff shared, "There was a bit of confusion with a couple of employees who came here for a check-up due to which we had to stop the emergency and op services for a while.
Now the services have been resumed and patients are being treated." PL Sundar, a bus driver who visited the hospital a few days back for his eye checkup says, "I was admitted to hospital three days back even as the employees were on strike."
Sammiah, who works as a license officer at Rathifile depot, said, "I heard there was some confusion on Wednesday evening but now it is all normal. I came here on Monday morning for viral fever and headache and I was discharged by evening, today I came here for my routine check-up."
