Naini, Muta Gopal participate in Eid Milap celebrations
Musheerabad: Former home minister Naini Narsimha Reddy said that Eid Milap helps in enhancing a feeling of communal harmony in the society. He was speaking at Eid Milap celebrations, which are held a day after Ramzan, along with Muslim brethren and Musheerabad MLA Muta Gopal.
The program was organized by TRS party senior minority leader Javed Khan at his residence at Ramnagar on Friday. Among other TRS leaders who participated include former MLC Sudhakar Reddy and Ramnagar corporator V Srinivas Reddy.
Speaking on the occasion, the former minister said the festival enhance a feeling brotherhood and unity among people of different communities. He said the practice of Alai Balai inspires the feeling of brotherhood and sends the message of communal harmony to the society.
During the celebrations, participants took 'Alai Balai' one another and conveyed festival greetings. The minister extolled the government's efforts to maintain communal harmony and said that the government has been official celebrations of festivals of different religions.
Telangana stands as a role model to the rest of the country in maintaining communal harmony and the credit goes to the able leadership of KCR, he said. Among others who were present on the occasion include Azam Ali, son of home minister Mahmood Ali, Muta Jaisimha, R Mallesham, M Prabhakar, R Moses, Sirigiri Shyam, Erra Shekhar, M Murali, Kondamadugu Madhu and Mukthar Hussain.
