Multi-lingual meet on Prophet's life held

Charminar: Linguistic and religious scholars from across the country attended a multi-lingual conference on Prophet Muhammad's life, at Urdu Maskan Hall here on Tuesday.

Organised by Shibli International Educational & Charitable Trust as part of Milad-un-Nabi celebrations, researchers from various universities presented their papers in Telugu, Hindi, English, Arabic, Persian and also Tamil on different subjects ranging from social issues which Prophet addressed during His time. In their presentations, they strongly argued about the importance and relevance of Prophet's teachings in the contemporary world. Senior journalist Md Mujahid's presentation in Telugu was commended.

TS Urdu Academy chairman, Maulana Md Raheemuddin Ansari lauded the efforts of Trust's Founder & Chairman, Dr Mohd Muhamid Hilal Azmi for organizing the programme. Raheemuddin later presented certificates and mementos to the participants.

Those who presented the papers included Prof Muzaffar Ali Shameeri, Vice Chancellor, Dr Abdul Haq Urdu University (Kurnool, AP), Prof Muhsin Usman Nadvi, former HOD Arabic, EFLU, Prof Kashif Ali from MANUU and several others.
