Mini-Shilparamam to open at Uppal by Jun 2

Uppal: Mini-Shilparamam at Uppal is all set to open on June 2. In spite of the sanctioned amount for the project not released, maximum work has been done say authorities.

• All those working on the construction of Mini-Shilparamam are the same staff from Shilparamam, Madhapur

• Total construction is done with nut and bolts instead of cement and bricks because permanent buildings are prohibited in that area

• The buffer zone is left aside to grow trees and the remaining part is used for construction

• Work commenced on September of 2018 and planned to open by Dussehra this year, but it finished much early

• The 7.5-acre open land is given by Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority. It is very near NagoleMetro Station

The 7.5-acre openland is given by Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA)for the Mini Shilparamam.It is being constructed very near the NagoleMetro Station.

The total construction is done innuts and bolts system, no cement and bricks have been used. The buffer zone is left aside to grow trees and the remaining part is used for construction. After the completion of works, the scenario of the area is completely changed and became beautiful.

"We are working hard to complete the work by the end of this month and open it by 2nd June which is also Telangana formation day," says Kishan Rao, Special Officer, Shilparamam. He further added, "An amphi-theatre for cultural activities and nearly 50 stalls will be arranged including weekend programmes similar to the one at Shilparamam, Madhapur. We are even planning to keep free entry in the first two months."

All the workers working for the construction of Mini-Shilparamam are the same staff who developed Shilparamam at Madhapur. HMDA sanctioned Rs 10 crore for this project but only Rs 3 crore has been released till date.

The works are almost completed and set to open soon. The finishing works are going on. Canteen, play area, lawn and amphi-theatre for cultural events are finished totally. We have started work on September of 2018 and planned to open by Dussehra, but it finished much early," says Raghuveer, Site Engineer at Mini-Shilparamam.

"It was a good idea to construct a Mini-Shilparamam. If they maintain this as Shilparamam, it will be a good recreation zone for us," says Babburi Shankar Rao, Hydro Water plant. "Musi River is close by and the smell could be a hindrance," says MurumullaSuneetha, a home maker. Hope the authorities so something."
