Mid-day meal workers protest enters 2nd day

Tandur: The protest by the workers of mid-day meals reached second day, here on Sunday. The protest under the leadership of CITU has been going on in front of Tahasildar office.

Convener of BC Welfare Association Rajkumar extended his solidarity to the protest. Speaking on the occasion, he said the government should address the reasonable demands of the workers.

He also said workers were suffering from the absence of kitchens as almost 90 percent of the schools have no own buildings. CITU district president Srinivas warned the government to intensify agitation if the demands of the workers are not addressed.
