Man awarded lifer for killing father
Hayathnagar: The II ADJ Court at LB Nagar on Thursday sentenced a person Ch Ramesh (26) to undergo life imprisonment for killing his father.
According to Hayathnagar police, on July 4, Ch Saraiah (42), a resident of Budhan Pochampally mandal, lodged a complaint at the police station, stating that his father Yadagiri shifted to Kuntlur in Hayathnagar and settled in Ista Kameshwari Colony along with his mother Yellamma, brother Ramesh and his niece Sammakka. Ramesh was addicted to bad habits.
His wife left him due to frequent clashes. Since then he turned as a heavy drunkard. He used to pester his parents for money to meet his aA needs. Several times his father warned Ramesh to leave their house, due to which Ramesh bore a grudge against his father.
On July 3 night, when Ramesh demanded money for liquor and beat up his mother and niece. Yadaiah went to rescue them. This infuriated Ramesh who took a cement brick and hit on his father's head, face and chest, as a result of which Yadaiah suffered grievous injuries and died on the spot.
Police registered a case under Section 302 IPC and arrested him. After completion of the investigation they filed charge-sheet in the court. On completion of the trial on Thursday, the court condemned the accused to serve life term. It also imposed a fine of Rs 100 on him.
