Malakpet: Railway crossing at Dabeerpura soon

Malakpet: Towards easing the woes of people residing near Dabeerpura railway track, the local authorities have decided to come up with railway crossing with road connecting both sides of the tracks in the coming days.

Finding that the people residing near railway tracks are facing inconvenience, Malakpet MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala proposed to develop a road for the crossing track. On Friday, the MLA along with party leaders Shaik Mohiuddin Abrar (Azampura) and Mohammed Saifuddin Shafi (Old Malakpet) and officers of railway, TSSPDCL and GHMC visited the Dabeerpura under bridge area in Azampura division.

The MLA said that there is only one road which connects Azampura and Dabeerpura areas. "Pedestrians had no other option but to cross tracks at other locations and unmanned crossings where there is no road connectivity.

There are several incidents where people also met with fatal accidents. Along with the development of the road with manned crossing, there is also proposal for a park near an open space close to the track. Railway department and GHMC officials assured that they will look into the matter and it will be solved," he added. As the residents near the Raushan Dairy Farm lane are facing an irregular supply of electricity, MLA also proposed for installing 160 KV transformers in the area. During the visit, space for installing transformers has been identified. Later, Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala inspected development works of Padma Nagar park in Old Malakpet division and instructed officers concerned to complete the works in time.
