KTR warns YouTube channels of criminal, defamation cases
Hyderabad: The BRS leaders have decided to file criminal and defamation cases against some YouTube channels spreading fake news and also approach YouTube to ban such channels.
Taking to X, Rama Rao said that some of the YouTube channels that should be responsible were spreading falsehoods repeatedly without any evidence. They put up thumbnails to mislead people and show pure lies in the name of news. Such criminal and illegal videos and fake news were being propagated due to blind opposition or due to the money given by the ruling party. “We feel that this is part of a conspiracy to harm our party, including me personally. We feel it is just an act to confuse and mislead people. We have also initiated legal action against media organisations that have published false propaganda and falsehoods against us in the past. Let us legally face these nefarious and conspiratorial actions that some YouTube channels are currently taking. We will also register defamation cases and take criminal action against YouTube channels that propagate falsehoods and spread propaganda in the name of news with obstructed thumbnails. We will also file an official complaint with YouTube to ban those YouTube channels,” said Rama Rao.
While appealing to the YouTube channels to change their ways, the BRS leader warned these channels, who were running conspiratorial affairs, to be prepared for appropriate punishment as per the law.
