KCR launches Bonalu at Takarabasti

Secunderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao inaugurated the Bonalu festivities at Takarabasti, here on Sunday. The festivities are being organised by Deputy Speaker of Telangana Assembly T Padma Rao Goud. It has become a tradition that KCR to launch the Bonalu celebrations for the last several years.

Home Minister Mehmood Ali, ministers Indrakaran Reddy, Malla Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Nayani Narasimha Reddy, MLA Danam Nagendar and Telugu film celebrities Puri Jagannath and Charmme also attended the event.

After offering the prayers at Ujjain Mahankali temple, the Chief Minister reached the Deputy Speaker's house to take part in the Bonalu. KCR spent some time with Padma Rao's family.

Lunch was offered to the devotees, who thronged the 'Mutyalamma' temple, where the festivities are being organised. Sons of Padma Rao Kishore Goud, Kiran Goud, Rameshwar Goud, Trinetram Goud, Kalyan Chakravarthi Goud coordinated the VIPs and supervised the arrangements.
