KCR govt slammed for ignoring plight of jobless
Himayatnagar: State AIYF general secretary M Anil Kumar on Thursday demanded the creation of employment opportunities for youngsters and implementation of constitutional provisions on the new education policy.
Speaking at a symposium on 'Higher education–employment avenues for youth' jointly organised by AIYF and AISF at the AIYF office at the ECIL Crossroads on Friday, Kumar said that social and moral values had fallen due to liberalisation, privatisation and liberalisation of the economy.
Anil Kumar lashed out at the political leaders for adopting time-wasting tactics without implementing the constitutional provisions and at officials for succumbing to pressures of private and corporate institutions. He said as there were 6.2 lakh vacant jobs in the State government, opportunities should be created for the unemployed youth.
The AIYF leader accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of 'cheating' the youth by not notifying the vacancies in government departments. He sought 30 per cent of the budget allocation to education and youth services and conducting job melas through the employment exchanges to benefit the youth.
Among those present were AIYF Medchal district unit president T Satya Prasad, federation leaders Ramu, Venkatesh,AISF district leaders Dharmendra, Vishal, AIYF ECIL wing president Rami Reddy, secretary Mahesh and a large number of several students.
