Intensify membership drive, Minister tells TRS cadre
Boduppal: Minister Ch Malla Reddy on Sunday advised TRS leaders and activists to intensify the membership drive so that the party flag could be hoisted on every house.
Speaking as the chief guest at an event organised to felicitate the former MPTC members here under the leadership of former Ghatkesar MPTC member Manda Sanjiva Reddy, the Minister stated that tickets for the ensuing municipal elections would be given only to those who work hard and that there would no scope for lobbying.
Reddy called upon the cadre to ensure a record level of TRS members in view of the municipal elections. He observed that it is 'our good fortune that a person like K Chandrashekar Rao is the State Chief Minister.' KCR would remain in the hearts of the people thanks to the Kaleshwaram project and provision of water supply to each house under the Mission Bhagiratha'.
TRS leader Marri Rajasekhar Reddy advised the party activists to take the government's welfare schemes to every house. Sanjiva Reddy pointed out that the progress in the past was not much and that more needed to be done. He stated that confusion is prevailing following Boduppal becoming a municipality within six months of ZPTCs and MPTC members winning the elections. Reddy claimed that the desired progress could not be achieved due to lack of coordination.
Among those who were present included MPP Sudarshan Reddy, TRS leaders Misala Yadagiri, Charla Anjaneyulu, Durga Dayakar Reddy, MPTCs Posi Reddy, Bommak Vijayamma, Enugu Shobamma, Shankar Yadav, Veerachary, Sharada, Ponnam Neelima, Padma Jayaram,Vijay Yadav and Chandar Yadav.
