Hyderabad: Police return gold worth Rs 2.5 lakh to passenger

The Narayanaguda police has been lauded for their kind gesture who returned the gold ornaments worth Rs 2.5 lakh to a woman who forgot it in the auto.

According to the inspector P Ramesh, the passenger, Vijaya Sri went to a hospital at Andhra Mahila Sabha in Nallakunta on February 24. During the treatment, she took off the gold ornaments and put it in her bag.

Later, she got into an auto while returning home and forgot the bag in the vehicle. Upon learning it, Vijaya Sri approached the police who registered a case.

Based on the CCTV footage, the police found the auto driver and returned the gold ornaments to the woman.
