Global offers better care for lung disease
Hyderabad: Gleneagles Global Hospital, Lakdi Ka Pul, in its efforts to provide latest treatments for a complete range of pulmonary issues, launched the 'Institute of Advanced Lung Disease' on Friday.
The Institute would provide highly specialised evaluation and treatment through a multidisciplinary and comprehensive approach for complex and end stage lung diseases.
About 55 million people in India are suffering from chronic pulmonary disease and the number of cases has increased from 28 million to 55 million from 1990 to 2016. Chronic Pulmonary Disease is also responsible for 10.9 per cent of deaths.
The Chairman of Gleneagles Global Hospitals Dr Ravindranath said, "We have been a pioneer of liver and multi organ transplants and have a strong legacy of success".
