Garbage piling up as civic staff keep away

Marredpally: Garbage on the roads has become a common sight at West Marredpally near the GHMC Marredpally play ground residency. Several locals have complained that the piled up filth was emitting foul smell and it has become uncomfortable to the people.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Thursday, a local resident M Gurunath, said that the locals were not taking any responsibility regarding the garbage. Even the shopkeepers were misusing the premises like a dumping yard.

The GHMC works earlier used to clean the garbage at-least weekly once, but now, they don't even bother. As a result, the residents were facing a lot of inconvenience to walk in this area due to the piling of garbage.
