Gandhi's jayanthi celebrated at industrial estate

Patancheru: The 150th jayanthi of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated on a grand note in local industrial estate. People and public representatives in the town and several villages of Patancheru mandal garlanded Gandhiji's statues and paid glowing tributes to Father of the Nation.

Among them were MLA G Mahipal Reddy, who along with local leaders, offered floral tributes to Gandhi statue at M G Road here. He later went to the MPDO's office and garlanded the statue, along with MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy and MLC V Bhupal Reddy.

Addressing the gathering, the MLA called upon people to follow the path shown by the Mahatma, and praised him for bringing people on a single platform to secure the country's freedom.
