Equal pay sought for equal work

Chintal: Temporary employees of Nizampet Gram panchayat submitted a memorandum to MLA KP Vivekanand at his office here on Wednesday and sought solution to their problems.

They said that they have been working as temporary employees in various departments of the gram panchayat for the past 20 years. It may be recalled that Nizampet, Pragathi Nagar and Bachupally gram panchayats were merged into Nizampet Municipality.

They said that they are getting paid less than earlier. The MLA assured that he would take the issue to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
