Eminent scholar starts religious discourses

Nayapul: Renowned Islamic scholar Hazrath Madani Miya Ashrafi-al-Jeelani, who is on a short visit to Hyderabad, started to deliver a series of religious discourses on Thursday.

Popularly known as Shaykh ul Islam, the octogenarian, who hails from Kichhocha, UP, is a spiritual leader and an expert in Islamic philosophy, Islamic sacred law and Fiqh (Jurisprudence), science, mathematics and all known fields of legal requirements of writing Fatwa. His first interaction with Hyderabadi's after some 2-decades was organised at Minar Garden Function Hall, Nayapul from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

On Thursday, he supplicated before the almighty for the improvement of the condition of Muslims across the globe. Madani Miya said that the condition of Muslims across the globe is pathetic and the community reels under stress due to uncertainty. The community should strengthen ties with Sufi-saints for spiritual well-being and peace, during his lecture.

Owing to bad health he constrained himself to supplication. Shaykh ul Islam's successor Maulana Syed Hamza Ashraf Ashrafi-al-Jeelani, Maulana Peer Nawaz Ashrafi said that Shaykh ul Islam's journey of religious preaching's is spread over seven decades. Shaykh ul Islam has left indelible imprint on the young minds through his teachings across the globe. Peer Nawaz Ashrafi further said that Shaykh ul Islam has always guided the Muslim community in light of the present-day requirements through his knowledge of Islamic Jurisprudence.

The session started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Hafez Dawood Attari, Quari Asadullah Shareef, Shajar-ul-Huda, and Shabbir Ashrafi sung in praise of the Prophet Muhammad. Besides men and women from the twin-cities, people from Gulbarga, Bidar, Hubli, Belgaum, Nandedh, Parbhani, Vijayawada, and other districts were present in huge number.

Mohammad Ismail Ashrafi Chairman Organising Committee, Maulana Mohammad Yahya Ansari Ashrafi Caliph of Shaykh-ul-Islam and Chairman Shaykh-ul-Islam Academy, M A Mannan Khan, Maulana Mahboob Alam Ashrafi, and Shahed Iqbal welcomed Shaykh-ul-Islam and others were present.
