Dhwaja Sthamba erected at temple

Chilkur: The installation ceremony of 'Dhwaja Sthamba' was organised on a grand note at Surakanti Mallikarjuna Swamy temple near here on Sunday. Special prayers were offered for two days prior to the Sunday's ceremony.

Devotees from neighbouring villages thronged the temple. Organisers arranged 'Annadanam' to the visitors. The donor of 'Dhwaja Sthambha' retired principal Jonnada Ramaswamy, temple committee chairman S Mallesh, vice-chairman Subhash Goud, sarpanch Upa Sarpanch and ward members of Chilkuru were also present.
