Deputy Collectors association supports TSRTC agitation

Hyderabad: The President of Telangana Deputy Collectors Association, V Lachi Reddy, on Sunday announced their support to the RTC strike. He was speaking at a memorial programme to pay tributes to revenue employees who died while on duty held here at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Lachi Reddy demanded that the state government take up compensatory appointments immediately in the revenue department. He criticised the state government for not implementing compensatory appointments although the GO concerned states that compensatory appointments should be made within 10 days of employee's death.

The Telangana government had failed miserably in taking care of the employees who died while on duty, he lamented. He expressed concern over deaths of revenue deaths due to mental stress.

Recalling the CM's praise for revenue employees during the agitation, he lamented that the CM was speaking about the same employees in an insulting manner. He condemned the CM's statements branding revenue employees as corrupt. Corruption among a few employees cannot be blamed on all employees of the department, he added.

He urged the CM not to forget valuable contribution of revenue employees in acquiring land for the prestigious state projects such as Kaleshwaram. Welcoming the CM's initiative for bringing reforms in the department, he said that revenue employees are ready to work in an effective corruption-free system. He urged RTC employees not to get discouraged in their fight and announced their support to striking RTC employees. He advised them not to commit suicides.

VROs Welfare Association president G Upender Rao, Ramulu of TGTA, Laskhminarayana, V Ramulu, Sudhakar Rao, Sudarshan and others attended the programme.
