Corporator Padma distributes saplings

Hasthinapuram: As part of the 'Haritha Haram' programme, local corporator Ramavath Padma distributed saplings to the residents of Agriculture Colony and Venkateshwara Nagar Colony here on Sunday.

She conducted a door-to-door campaign highlighting the importance of greenery in preventing ecology disasters. She called upon everyone to plant saplings on the premises of their houses and there by protect the environment.

Growing trees would help in timely rains, she added. She said that there was an urgent need to prevent global warming. TRS division president Raghuma Reddy, Sanitary Inspector Ganesh, Sanitary Jawan Shankar, field assistant Hanumanth, Entomology EE Shankar and others were present.
