Contaminated water sparks serious concerns
Hydernagar: Residents of HMT Shatavahana Colony have been supplied with contaminated drinking water for the last 15 days. About 1,000 families of a zone were affected by the contaminated water. The members of colony welfare association tried to find the reason for the contamination but in vain.
Residents suspect that the drinking water may have been contaminated by the nearby sewerage line but could not locate the exact point where water is being contaminated. Residents met the local ward member Bose Reddy and the local corporator Janaki Ramaraju and urged them to address the issue.
Responding positively to their request, the corporator spoke to EE Sridhar, DE Krishna, work inspector Mahadev, water board manager Venkateshwarulu and urged them to address the issue at the earliest.
