Construction goes on sans NOC from Forest department

Qutbullapur: Despite registering several land-grabbing cases by the Revenue officials, land sharks in Qutbullapur division seem to be not afraid of law and are undertaking their construction activities without any problem.

A realtor even removed the sign board indicating government land beside his project and laid 40-feet road as the venture had no exit way. Moreover, he has been selling flats without taking NOC from the Revenue, Irrigation and Forest departments for his project. Several people expressed their anger over the matter and suspected connivance of the officials and the builder.

As per details, the land where the construction was taken up is surrounded by the government lands. In Gajularamam survey no. 12 has 12.17 acres of government land, of which some land has been allocated for construction of JNNRUM houses. The venture is taken up in a one-acre plot beside the government land but there is no way to go out.

The builder of the project removed the sign board and built 40 feet road on the government land.While the builder needs to take permission from the Forest department and the Irrigation department as the land is surrounded by forest lands on one side and Chintal tank on the other side. Locals have raised objection over construction just beside FTL piller but the Irrigation officers have not responded to their objection.

When the Hans India contacted, the local FRO Sridevi on the issue, she said that a warning letter has been already sent to the builder and the local MRO has been instructed to conduct survey. She warned that a NOC from the Forest department is mandatory for any construction beside the Forest lands and a non-bailable case would be filed against them under Forest conservation and Biodiversity Act.
