Compensate for house damages, dead cattle

Medchal: District Collector M V Reddy has directed the tahsildars to immediately pay compensation to those whose houses have been damaged, fully or partially, in the recent rains and also for the death of cattle.

Addressing a video conference attended by officials of the revenue and forest departments, Reddy advised them to offer solace to those affected by rain as it was 'important to meet the victims and give them courage'. He wanted officials to provide ration and clothes to those whose houses have been totally damaged.

The Collector ordered officials to pay compensation to the family of Parvatha Reddy, who died of electrocution, and provide succour to her under the Apatbandhu scheme. He asked the revenue and forest officials to complete the survey of forest lands in coordination and submit a report by next Friday.

Reddy asked tahsildars to review pending cases mandal-wise and file counters in courts. He advised them to identify the government lands in villages and plant saplings there under the 'Haritha Haram' programme.

Referring to the seizure by the police of PDS rice stored in a godown in Nagaram following its illegal diversion and arrest of the gang involved, he said the Revenue officials had seized the godown. In view of the seizure,he advised the Revenue and Civil Supplies department officials to increase their vigil.

The tahsildars informed the meeting that a review of the mandal-wise unauthorised lay-outs and putting up of notices, their registration has been prevented. They said of the 879 applications sought for establishing Mee Seva centres, 651 have been found eligible. A test would be conducted for the eligible applicants and the centres allotted.

Among those present were JC D Srinivas Reddy, DRO Madhukar Reddy, DFO Sudhakar Reddy, and district—level officials.
