Children told to avoid junk food, follow diet plan

Bahadurpura: The Telangana Citizens Council (TCC) in coordination with Super Grammar High School jointly organised an awareness rally on different types of diseases, on the occasion of World Health Day in Kishanbagh near Bahadurpura on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Justice E Ismail, Retired Judge, AP Human Rights Commission, who was chief guest of the programme asked the students and youth to follow diet plan and to consume only nutritious food. While referring to the health problems caused due to consumption of junk food, he asked them to avoid oily and street food.

Dr Raj Narayan Mudiraj, president of TCC explained about TB, AIDS, Malaria and other communicable diseases. Dr A Bharat Prakash, Founder secretary, Indian Medical Association (IMA), TS, Md Ghouse Moinuddin, Maqsood Hussain, Jaswath Kaur, Md Mubashir Mohiuddin, Pooja, Shiv Kumar and others spoke.

Earlier, a massive rally was taken out as part of demonstration about the ill-effects of smoking, tobacco consumption in different forms including gutkha, malaria, HIV, TB and kidney and heart related ailments in Kishanbagh area.
