Bonalu festivities end on grand note

Patancheru: The two-day Ashada Masam 'Bonalu' festivities in the industrial estate concluded on Monday, despite a light shower. Women devotees offered 'Bonalu' while 'Potharajus' attracted the people with their dances.

Devotees visited the Pochamma temples for the darshan of the Goddess in the town along with 'Thottela' processions and 'Oggu' artists. Among those who participated in the festivities were local MLA Mahipal Reddy, Corporator Shankar Yadav, former MLA Satyanarayana, leaders of various political parties.

Mahipal Reddy told The Hans India that he had worshipped the Goddess for the wellbeing of the people, besides seeking bountiful rains.
