BJP neta distributes rice to RTC workers

Kukatpally: Medchal district BJP president Madhavaram Kantha Rao on Thursday distributed 25 kg rice bags in the party office here to the striking RTC workers, who had been agitating for the last 41 days.

Addressing them, Rao expressed ire at the government for not solving their problems while recalling Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's statement of rendering justice to them and then going back on the assurance.

He claimed that people were voluntarily extending support to the RTC employees and against the government. The BJP leader pointed out that the government remained indifferent to the State High Court's directive to solve the problems of the RTC. He pledged the party support to the employees till their demands were conceded by the government. He appealed to them not to commit suicide, as the administration would be forced to give in to the demands.

Among those present at the programme were BJP leaders Padmayya, Damodar, Srikar Rao, Ravi Kumar Goud, Nandakumar, Surender Reddy, Ilayya, Malla Reddy, Alluddin and Venkatayya.
