BJP fires on CM KCR
Hyderabad: BJP National Vice-President DK Aruna criticised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his government for showing step-motherly treatment towards Hindus on the occasion of the ensuing Tungabhadra Pushkaralu.
She said that the Tungabhadra Pushkarams will be starting from November 20 to December 1. In Telangana, the Pushkarams will take place only at one place in Jogulamba Gadwal district.
She said that the Pushmarams comes once in 12 years and the neighboring Andhra Pradesh government has been making elaborate arrangements allocating Rs 250 crore for the pilgrims coming to take holy dip during the Pushkarams. However, KCR's government has washed away its hands by allocating a mere Rs 5 crore, she added. The BJP leader criticised the TRS chief alleging that he is more interested in appeasement of only a section people belonging to a particular religion, but was belittling and neglecting Hindus, Hindu traditions and their temples in the State.
She said there is no clarity among the officials when the occasion is just four days away, as what to do and how to manage when lakhs of people turn up for the Tungabhadra Pushkarams. She demanded the CM to immediately intervene and make necessary arrangements for the ensuing Pushkarams on a war footing.
