8-year-old strives for drug-free society
Amberpet: An eight-year-old girl, Taniya Begum's programmes for ushering in a drug-free nation came in for praise on Friday by Dr Ismail Quasim, founder-adviser and Global Ambassador of World Syahadeh Council.
The class 3 student, he stated, has been inspiring the current generation. He praised the spirited girl for taking up social responsibility, advocating that people should have accountability. Persons like Tania Begum, he stated, should inspire others to emulate her example. Tania begum's commendable work for achieving a better society is earning laurels widely.
Quasim expressed anguish over the youth ruining their lives by taking to drugs. He called for total elimination of drugs from society with the cooperation of both people and the government, by conducting public awareness programmes to save people from falling prey to drug abuse.
