55 bikes recovered from 6-member gang

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Commissionerate CCS sleuths of LB Nagar along with Vanasthalipuram police on Sunday arrested two notorious professional offenders and four members of Supari gang and recovered 55 bikes, 2 toy pistols, 1 talwar, 1 knife all worth Rs 28.7 lakh were recovered from the possession of the accused.

According to Rachakonda CP Mahesh M Bhagwat, the accused M Nagaraju (27, security guard in Ramoji Film City), A Vijay (26, auto driver), M Raju (33, auto driver), K Mahesh (28, contract house keeper in NGRI), Chittaranjan Reddy (61, Real Estate Business) and Shiva Krishna (26) were taken into custody under suspicious circumstances at BN Reddy Nagar in Vanasthalipuram.

On questioning Nagaraju and Vijay revealed their criminal record and confessed that they had stolen 55 bikes. On verification only 29 cases were registered. Police traced 21 vehicles' addresses as per the records but owners were not traced and 5 two-wheelers' addresses were not found due to tampering of engine and chassis numbers. The accused committed these offences in the past three years in the jurisdiction of Rachakonda and Hyderabad Commissionerates.

The offenders also revealed about the burning of Real Estate office at Ramanthapur in the limits of the Uppal Police Station in August, 2016 in which the owner of the Bhagyasri Developers, Chittaranjan Reddy himself hatched the plan and contacted Mahesh through his driver Shiva Krishna and discussed about the plan in his office with an agreement of giving Supari of Rs 40,000 and each one 100 square yard plot.

Chittaranjan Reddy gave an advance of Rs 10,000 to Mahesh and as per the agreement Mahesh formed a gang with Nagaraju, Vijay and Raju. They burnt the furniture by pouring petrol and shouted as they were going to kill him if he did not register the land on their names and then absconded from the spot. Later, Chittaranjan paid the balance amount to them and registered the land.

Later, Reddy lodged a false complaint on Dasaratha and Shanker Naik as suspects at Uppal Police Station on which a case was registered under sections 435, 452, 506 r/w 34 IPC and took up the investigation and arrested the accused.
