The rich should help the poor

The rich should help the poor

It is heard the founder of Wipro Limited has contributed 34 per cent of his share in Wipro to his foundation established to run all philanthropic activities. According to him, if one is privileged to earn most than what is sufficient, should contribute to the lesser privileged people. To stand responsible for the society in which we live in, is a dire need for all the developing countries.

All the top-notch tycoons in every field, who have deep set their businesses from a considerable period, can contribute their share for the upliftment of the society. As the corporate law mandates a company to contribute a percentage of its profits to the core areas that it has chosen, the Centre has to come up with statutory contributions which have to be made by politicians personally.

The essence of politics can be totally changed to a new perspective where more gravity is put on the public welfare than personal gains once the above mandate is given a nod by the central government itself or by a constitutional amendment, if necessary.
