Political strategists ineffective

An inferior or defective product cannot be sold and any amount of strategy or marketing skills cannot help.

Similarly victory of a political party depends on the satisfaction levels of people and no political strategist can improve the winning chances of a party (Mamata pitches in poll wizard Prashant Kishor, June 7 ).

By engaging the services of strategists to win the elections, leaders clearly admit that they have no idea of people's issues, requirements and aspirations.

Such a situation is a shame on the part of politicians and a dent on democracy. It is better to switch over to a system of political consultants in place of legislatures so that lot of money, time and energy can be saved.
