Rajamahendravaram YSRCP MP candidate Dr. Guduri Srinivas, former corporator Guduri Radhika and her family exercised their right to vote.

He voted in the polling booth set up in AKC College. He said that people are on the side of YSR Congress party in this election. He expressed confidence that the YSR Congress party is going strong and will come back to power.

Chittoor district recorded 43.47 percent polling by 1 pm with GD Nellore SC constituency leading it with 48.30 percent closely followed by Chittoor with 48.26 percent. Nagari recorded 46 percent, Punganuru 43.90 percent, Palamaner 40.20 percent and Kuppam 43.29 percent. Puthalapttu reported a relatively low percentage of 35.92 percent which is far behind the district average.

A controversy erupted at booth no.250 in Seicom degree college in Tirupati when YSRCP corporate Sekhar Reddy tried to attack Jana Sena Party candidate' son Aarani Jagan. Jagan reportedly went to the booth after getting information of bogus voting there. Sekhar Reddy asked him how he could come there as he is not an agent. Former MLA and TDP city inchcarge M Sugunamma reached the spot. After severe arguments between the two sides, police pacified both the groups.

40.52 percent polling reported till 1 pm in Srikakulam

Srikakulam: Total 40.52 percentage of votes polled till 1 pm in Srikakulam Parliament constituency and seven assembly segments in the district. Both locally dwelling and migrated voters are reached to their respective polling stations to cast their votes in the morning to avoid scorching sun and heat waves but due sudden rush voters had to stand and wait till their turn. Officials are expected more turn out of voters in the evening.
