World Robot Olympiad event at Pallavi International School

Hyderabad: World Robot Olympiad Hyderabad Regional Championship, a two-day event had a grand opening ceremony on Saturday and Sunday drawing huge attention of students from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Mumbai. Padma Shri Chintakindi Mallesham, a noted rural inventor and natural engineer hailing from Telangana graced the inaugural ceremony along with Malka Komariah, Chairmanas the Chief Guests for the event. Nidhi, Principal, Pallavi International School and Prasoona, Director, TIX Robotics were the guests of honour at the event.

A total of 38 teams from Hyderabad, Vizag, Pune and Mumbai competed in WRO competition held for two days at Pallavi International School, Gandipet witnessed by around 300 visitors, parents and academicians. All 38 teams made the robots as per their unique design and programmed to perform the task within the time limit of 2 minutes following various rules framed by WRO international competition.

Winners from the Hyderabad Regional will be qualified to represent in the WRO National Championship to be conducted in New Delhi in the month of September. National championship winners will get a chance to participate and represent India in International Championship.

The presence and addressing of Padma Shri Chintakindi Mallesham was very inspirational for the young students, the future scientists of the Nation. "I am impressed with what you do and you are lucky to have such a support from school and parents at this young age and you have to use this knowledge for social causes and serve the nation at large", said Mallesham.
