Workshop held on Digital Reality
Hyderabad: IEEE Computer Society chapter under IEEE Hyderabad Section organised a workshop on Digital Reality on the eve of National Technology at Plaza Hotel Begumpet in Hyderabad on Saturday.
The main objective of this workshop is to inculcate awareness among professionals towards the exciting world of Digital Reality powered by Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality.
The faculty members from VNR Vignan Jyoti demonstrated the virtual tour they are conceptualising for Warnagal, they demonstrated the 3600 view of Ramappa and Bhadrakali Temples, which created immersive experience during the virtual tour for participants.
Digital reality is generally defined as the wide spectrum of technologies and capabilities that digitally simulate the reality in one way or the other across most of the senses, inhere in AR, VR, MR, 360° video, and the immersive experience, enabling simulation of reality in various ways.
It has all sorts of implications that are widely covered almost exactly backwards. Playing it out, what we thought was hard technically is proving to be pretty easy. Digital is everywhere; digital is everything and its impact is enormous.
To comprehend digital reality, we need to understand the concepts that it encompasses. While VR enables users to immerse themselves; in artificial surroundings that portray actual places or imaginary worlds, AR overlays contextual information on the actual physical environments users see, thus combining digital components and experiences with real life.
