Pallavi Engineering College signs MoU with ICT Academy

ICT is an extensional term of Information, Communication & Technology that stress the role of unified communication and the integration of telecommunications and computers. Komaraiah Vice-Chairman of Pallavi Engineering College, received the Institutional Membership Certificate from N. Amarnath, Assistant General Manager – ICT –Telangana & Andhra Pradesh. who was also felicitated on the occasion.

Dr K Nagajyothi, Vice Principal of PEC welcomed the gathering and explained the training programmes conducted by ICT Academy in detail.

Speaking on the occasion, Amarnath said ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the state governments and industries. ICT Academy is a not-for-profit society, the first of its kind pioneer venture under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model that endeavours to train the higher education teachers and students thereby exercises on developing the next generation teachers and industry ready students.

Dr Satyanarayana briefed that ICT Academy has been working through a seven pillar programme in the areas of Faculty Development, Student Skill Development, Entrepreneurship Development, Youth Empowerment, Industry-Institute Interaction, Digital Empowerment and Research & Publications.

Komaraiah stressed the need for training of faculty and students to improve the technical knowledge and also to utilize the skill development programs effectively.

He said these trainings will provide a holistic service to every stakeholder of the education ecosystem in developing the next generation of talent pool in India to make them industry ready employees, innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders.

ICT Academy has been recently endorsed and recommended by NITI Aayog as one of the unique organisations for dissemination and replication, which is aligned to the Skill India Vision of the Government of India.
