Hyderabad: Orientation programme held for MBA, UG freshers

Hyderabad: Shadan Institute of Management Studies for Girls/Boys and Shadan Degree College for Boys conducted Orientation Programme for the UG & MBA Freshers, (2019 – 2020) on Tuesday who had come along with their parents with full enthusiasm and zest.

The Principal Prof. Ilyas ur Rahman briefed the freshers about the founder and his contribution to the minority community both in the fields of education and medicine.

He presented the college report right from the establishment of Shadan Institute of Management Studies for Girls/Boys & Shadan Degree College for Boys in the year 1993 & 1991 respectively. He also said till date 25 (MBA) & 26 (UG) batches had passed out and how the college is consistently maintaining 100 per cent result every year which in itself an achievement.

He also discussed the importance of regularity, following textbooks and referring case studies. He later focused on the need of the hour - communication skills, personality development and knowledge of current affairs - which is much needed to make themselves employable. He concluded his speech by saying there is no short cut to success and it can only be achieved through determination, hard work and never to die attitude.

Dr. Zehra Khan, Joint Secretary, Shadan Educational Society addressed the gathering with her inspiring words. She majorly focused on how to set the goals and the measures needed to achieve them. She congratulated the Students on choosing MBA over other courses. She also mentioned if she could stand here it's all because what she learnt during her MBA as she happens to be a product of Shadan Institute of Management Studies. Lastly she advised the students to be punctual and maintain the decorum of the institute.

Prof. Ahmedullah, Former Dean, University college of Law, O.U. & Vice Chairman, Planning Coordinating and Monitoring Board for Minorities gave his valuable suggestions to aspiring students who want to make big in life & career. He also shared his experiences as professor during his tenure at University college of Law, O.U.

Shahid Ansari, Director, Shadan Institute of Management Studies for Boys also addressed the gathering. As a regular feature of the orientation programme, the last session was presenting MBA II year students, gold medals and merit certificates were given to the toppers in academics. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks given by the seniors.
