Event to showcase world-class talent from India's best universities

Hyderabad- Virtusa Corporation , a global provider of digital strategy, digital engineering and IT services and solutions that help clients change and disrupt markets through innovation engineering, announced that more than 100 engineering graduates from leading universities including NIT and IIIT competed in NeuralHack – an annual event designed to showcase world-class engineering talent from India's best universities.

These students, selected out of more than 28,000 applicants from over 600 colleges in the country, participated in the grand finale challenge held at the Virtusa office campus. They competed against each other to address todays' most significant challenges.

By participating in NeuralHack, students gain hands-on experience in the skills required to pursue a career in data science and full-stack engineering. Last year, several NeuralHack participants were offered and accepted full-time positions at Virtusa after graduation.

"Our universities produce world-class engineering talent," said Madhavan Satagopan, executive vice president and lead executive for India, Virtusa. "NeuralHack helps showcase this talent and demonstrate to the world the vision, capability, and engineering talent produced by universities in India."

Interest from students on NeuralHack has grown substantially over the past few years. The number of applications from students increased by 55%. The number of participants invited to the finals grew to 100, up from just 25 last year.

All finalists are invited to Virtusa's Head Start event, the annual academician appreciation dinner and networking event.
