Corporate Greenathon on June 2

Hyderabad: Confederation of Indian Industry –YI-IWN Telangana, in association with Pallavi International School Gandipet & Pallavi Engineering College Nagole and powered by Hyderabad Runners is organising its second edition of the CII Corporate Greenathon 2019 on June 2 at Pallavi International School Gandipet on the eve of World Environment Day.

This year theme for the World Environment Day is "Beat Air Pollution". The right to quality life and living is envisaged in the Article 21 of the Constitution and we all as citizens are entitled for clean air , water and hygiene conditions. Corporates like ITC, Apollo, Cyient, Broadridge and many more corporates will be participating in the run.

Subhajit Saha said the run aims at promoting a healthier, happier and greener corporate living by adopting an active lifestyle and breaking the shackles of a sedentary life. "We are expecting about 2000 runners to participate in the run, which will include entrepreneurs, professionals, business heads, amateurs, children etc. CII wants to promote recreational running and make it a lifestyle in the long run. The timing certificate of this run will be valid for Airtel Hyderabad Marathon qualification."

The run will be flagged off by eminent personalities like Jayesh Ranjan, PS GoTS, Upasana Kamineni, of Apollo , Komraiah Chairman, Pallavi & DPS and many other celebrities.

Hyderabad has to be the cleanest city with the best air quality and fittest Individuals in the country and set a trend for all.

Speaking on the occasion Malka Komaraiah, Chairman of Pallavi group said that with a motto to create exceptional students who in turn make an amazing society to live in, the Pallavi Educational Society had initiated Pallavi Model School in June,1994. Pallavi has evolved into a successful educational institute over the years with 10,000 students spread across Bowenpally, Alwal, Boduppal, Gandipet, Saroornagar& Tivoli. Pallavi International School, Gandipet was established in association with VIF Education society apart from this 10,000 students are studying at Delhi Public School Mahendra Hills, Nacharam & Nadergul.

"This is the second Greenathon run in association with CII, we would like to extend our support to CII in hosting various other events. We would also like associate with other Corporates in and around all our schools & colleges to beat air pollution. As part of the Haritha Haram Project of the Government, the Primary School inaugurated a Birthday Garden in its premises. As per the birthday policy of the school, students, on their birthdays are encouraged to donate a sapling or a book to the school. From now onwards the student would be getting an opportunity to plant the sapling in the birthday garden with their name tag" he added.
