For Rajnikanth's 60th birthday celebrations at his house, Prachotan sang Chitraratnamayain raga Karaharapriya and the English note composed by Muttiah Bhagavatar. In Kamal Haasan's studios, he has sung Ododi Vanden Kanna in Dharmavati raga and other kirtanas like Omkara Kaarini in Raga Lavangi and Jagadodharana in Kapi Raga.

"My favourite singer is Sanjay Subrahmanyan who is a chartered accountant besides being an accomplished artiste in Carnatic singing. When I am in a good mood, I will sing Shankarabharanam or Bilahari," said Prachotan

"I want to pursue my music as much as I can and want to tell about the Carnatic music to the commoners that is something which I have been seriously working on I have also started giving public talk on Carnatic music", he added.
