Inter exams from March 1

Vijayawada: Education Minister Botcha Satyanarayana on Thursday released the time-table for the SSC and Intermediate Public Examinations to be held in March 2024.

According to the schedule announced by the minister, the Intermediate exams will be held from March 1 to 20 and SSC exams from March 18 to 30. These dates have been finalised keeping in view the possible dates of the Assembly and Lok Sabha polls.

Botcha said over 10 lakh students will appear for the Intermediate examinations. He said the first year Intermediate second language Paper I (Part II) examination will be held on March 1. English Paper-I (Part-I) examination will be held on March 4, Mathematics Paper IA, Botany Paper-I and Civics Paper-1 examination on March 6. Mathematics Paper IB, Zoology Paper I and History Paper I examination will be held on March 9. Physics Paper I and Economics Paper I will be conducted on March 12. Chemistry Paper I, Commerce Paper I, Sociology Paper I and Fine Arts, Music paper I will be held on March 14. Public Administration Paper I, Logic Paper I, Bridge course Mathematics Paper I (For Bi PC students) is on March 16.

Modern Language Paper I and Geography Paper I examination is on March 19.

For the second year examination, Second Language Paper II (Part II) examination is on March 2. English Paper II (Part I) will be held on March 5. Mathematics Paper IIA, Botany Paper II and Civics Paper II to be held on March 7. Mathematics Paper II B, Zoology Paper II and History Paper II examinations will be held on March 11.

Similarly, Physics Paper II and Economics Paper II is on March 13. Chemistry Paper II, Commerce Paper II, Sociology Paper II and Fine Arts, Music Paper II examinations on March 15. Public Administration Paper II, Logic Paper II, Bridge course Mathematics Paper II (For Bi PC students) examination is on March 18. Modern Language Paper II and Geography Paper II examinations will be held on March 20.

The Education Minister said the second year examinations will start on March 2 and complete by March 20. He said 5.29 lakh first year students and 4.76 lakh second year students will appear for the intermediate examinations.

He said the SSC exams would be held from 9.30 am to 12.45 pm. The first language examination will be held on March 18 and second language on March 19, English on March 20, Mathematics on March 22, Physical Science on March 23, Biological Science on March 26 and Social Studies on March 27.

First Language Paper II (composite course), OSSC Main language Paper –I (Sanskrit, Arabic, Persian) will be held on March 28. OSSC Main language Paper II (Sanskrit, Arabic and Persian) and SSC Vocational Course (Theory) examination will be held on March 30.

Satyanarayana said all the academic course subjects/papers are common for both the SSC Academic course and OSSC Course candidates.
