Naga Chaitanya to don producer's hat
After Rana Daggubati, hotshot star Naga Chaitanya, who is basking in the success of blockbuster 'Majili,' is all set to turn producer to promote new-age films.
The scion of Akkineni family is planning to establish a banner to dish out a coming of age movie with young actor Raj Tharun to kick-start his production house very soon.
"Naga Chaitanya will be donning producers's hat because he has big plans to produce content-driven and promote them by using his brand," says a source, close to the family and adds, "Chaitanya was impressed with a storyline narrated by a young director and has given his nod.
With Raj Tharun also showing interest to work with Naga Chaitanya, the project sounds exciting," Even though his father Nagarjuna owns Annapoorna Studios, Naga Chaitanya wants to branch out on his own and make films of his choice and he may act in his production too, if he comes across a exciting script.
"Primarily, he wants to give a boost to small budget movies and prove that well-made movies will strike a chord with the masses, if properly captured and marketed," the source points out.
Meanwhile, Raj Tharun who is going through a lean trot with duds like 'Lovers' and 'Iddari Lokam Okkate' believes that the Naga Chaitanya can give him the much-needed hit since Chaitanya is having a dream run at the box office.
"After Rana, now it is the turn of another third generation star to bet his money on movies. He may act in his production, but it is purely meant for other actors," the source concludes.
