Lavanya's ratings take a beating?

Talented actress Lavanya Tripathi needs a big hit to revive her sagging fortunes. After flying high with blockbusters like 'Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy' and 'Soggade Chinni Nayana', her ratings took a beating of sorts post duds like 'Yuddham Sharanam' and 'Intelligent' and last but not the least 'Anthariksham'.

"Lavanya is one of the most talented actresses in the industry but success is eluding her for last one year," says distributor Venkateswar Rao, who feels that Lavanya can return with her next 'Arjun Suravaram' to regain her winning habit. "It is just matter one big hit that would put her back in the reckoning and new-age stars will sign her up," he adds.

She was drawing a pay cheque of Rs 40 to 50 lakh per film, but things are different and gloomy these days, he adds.

Of course, she shared screen space with big names like Nani, Sai Dharam Tej and Ram. Apart from good looks, the actress is a bundle of talent and that could work in her advantage. "She has to wait to pick plum offers, rather hurry up signing films," the distributor points out.

Meanwhile, she also dabbled with Tamil movies like 'Maayavan' but it couldn't take her too far. Hope things fall in place for her sooner than later.
