Gopi in a landmark film

The big budget film, 'Chanakya' with action hero Gopichand as the male lead and Mehreen Pirazaada and Zareen Khan playing female leads is bankrolled by Sunkara Ramabrahmam under the banner of AK Entertainments with Thiru, who directed several super hits in Tamil wielding the megaphone.

Expectations on the film have soared amongst the audience and also in the Telugu film industry, aver makers.

Speaking to the media on the occasion of launching the trailer, producer Anil Sunkara said that two years ago, he rang up Thiru and asked him to narrate a good story to him.

Then, he told him about the story of 'Chanakya,' a spy thriller. He said that he liked it and decided to make it under their home production banner.

He said that he was sure that it would be a memorable film as Thiru was a highly talented director. The film was also highly entertaining, he added and expressed the hope it would be a game changer for Gopichand.

He also liked the story very much, he added. It would be one of the best movies of Gopichand, who really put in a lot of hard work, he said.

In his speech Gopichand, who is essaying the role of an RAW agent, said that Thru depicted it on the colloid excellently after incorporating all the changes that he suggested.

He said that his romantic scenes with Zareen and Mehreen would be exciting and would connect with the youth. Dialogues were very absorbing and powerful, he added.

The film is being released worldwide on the auspicious occasion of Dussera on October 5.
