Producer Salim Khan and Actor Shanto Khan Killed in Bangladesh Riots

On the evening of August 5th, 2024, Salim and Shanto attempted to escape the escalating riots in the Chandpur area. Salim Khan was a prominent figure in the Bangladeshi film industry, having produced nearly ten films, many of which featured top actors. His son, Shanto Khan, was following in his father’s footsteps and had already made a mark with roles in films such as Babujaan (2023), Antonagar, and Tungiparar Mia Bhai (2021).
