No Telugu film will be screened at 54th IFFI

The previous year can be considered as the golden year of Telugu Cinema. Our “RRR” has got the prestigious Oscar for us and many films like “RRR,” “Major,” “Akhanda,” “Cinema Bandi,” and “Kudhiram Bose” were screened at the IFFI. This year The Information and Broadcasting Ministry of India has announced that the 54th International Film Festival of India will take place from November 20-28, 2023, in Goa, India. The jury has announced 25 feature and 20 non-feature films for this event.

Unfortunately, no Telugu movie has been selected to be screened at this event. Many people from the Telugu-speaking community expressed their disappointment through social media platforms.

Movies like “Ponniyin Selvan-2,” “The Kerala Story,” “The Vaccine War,” “Kantara,” “Iratta,” and “Kaadhal Enbathu Pothu Udamai” have been selected to be screened at the 54th IFFI.
