​Tennis Buddies, A Compelling Drama Within Family Says Ranvir Shorey

Actor Ranvir Shorey says his forthcoming sports drama, Tennis Buddies, is a compelling drama within a family with a backdrop of Tennis.

The entire team of Tennis Buddies – Ranvir Shorey, Divya Dutta, and filmmaker Suhail Tatari hosted a press junket in Mumbai.

Talking about his film, Ranvir said, "Film is sports drama and the drama is within a family. And that is another thing which attracts me. Ever since I've become a father, playing father on-screen have become a lot more attractive! I enjoy exploring those emotions and conflicts"

"When Sohail narrated me the script, I found it a very compelling drama within a family, with a backdrop of tennis. It didn't take me too long to say yes to the film, it is a good film; I had a good part and it is a great script" added Ranvir.

The film stars Dakshata Patel, Divya Dutta, Ranvir Shorey, Shivani Desai, Maj. Bikramjeet and Charu Sharma in the leading roles.

Tennis Buddies is a triumph of human spirit, a rendition of guts and blood, a tale of good Samaritans of Faridabad, story of a 14 years old small town girl winning against odds, both personal and external.

The film also talks about a father-daughter relationship in the midst of gender disparity, depicted among the settings of the glorious game of tennis.

Sharing his reasons for doing a sports drama, Ranvir quipped, "We have very few sports drama in our country and people wonder why don't see better performances in sports. I think in whatever manner we can present sports to the audience, is less. Because I think sports is absolutely 360 degrees good for the populations"

The film releases on 29th March 2019.
