The Tashkent Files is the country's first crowd-sourced thriller. Vivek Agnihotri has even stated that this is the most researched work on Shastriji and it is the most apolitical film about a political leader.

The film stars an incredible ensemble of Mithun Chakraborty, Naseeruddin Shah, Shweta Basu, Pankaj Tripathi, Vinay Pathak, Mandira Bedi, Pallavi Joshi, Ankur Rathee and Prakash Belawadi.

The demise of Lal Bahadur Shastri is one big controversial conspiracy laced debate and the film will explore two narratives, which is known to the audience and the second one which is mysterious.

Directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and bankrolled by Zee Studios, the film releases on 12th April 2019. The trailer for the film will be on out on 25th March.
